New Blue Plaque unveiled

The Ilkley Civic Society has unveiled a new blue plaque at Verbeia Grange, formerly Troutbeck, one of Ilkley's Hydros, later a hotel and nursing home. This was where, in 1967, Jimi Hendrix played a famous, short-lived concert. While significant work has been undertaken in the interior, the exterior has been largely retained including the trout motif on the front wall. 

This is its 25th plaque within the town of Ilkley, installed to recognise the significance of the location to the town and its residents. The attached map shows the location of all 25 blue plaques in Ilkley
