Membership Plans

The Ilkley Civic Society is an independent body and through us you can have your say about things that matter to you. The greater our numbers, the greater our strength. 

We ask members to make an annual donation as a membership fee, currently £15, or £25 joint membership, with an option to become a Life Member for a donation of £250. As a registered charity we are able to reclaim gift aid on donations from taxpayer members.

Benefits of membership:

• The opportunity to contribute your views on important local issues, either by responding to our regular communications or participating in topic-specific Society meetings.
• Many opportunities to become involved in and learn more about Local History
• Receipt of our newsletters and updates on matters of interest
• The knowledge that you are supporting the Ilkley Civic Society in its important work and through us to link to regional and national civic society movements, including the Yorkshire and Humber Association of Civic Societies
• The opportunity to become involved in the promotion and progress of our town and neighbourhood
• Advance notice of our events (including talks & visits), so that you can book your place before they are more widely advertised.  These are normally free to members.
