Design and Conservation Awards 2026
The Ilkley Civic Society is planning its 2026 Awards and is looking for nominations for projects in and around the town.
Each year we run a competition to promote good design and conservation of buildings and spaces in the town, it is divided into 3 sections;-
- Design – for new buildings or extensions
- Conservation- for works to historic buildings or features.
- Improvements – for smaller projects or environmental improvements
All works on the project need to have been substantially complete by 31st July this year to qualify for the current awards round.
In each section we have Awards for exemplars and Commendations for other projects that have still made a positive contribution to the town. Previous successful projects have progressed to win regional awards from professional bodies involved in construction. Should a project be successful, the applicant and architect/ builder would be invited to the presentation of certificates to be held in October 2026. Following the presentation, we seek publicity for the achievement of winners of certificates

Any member of the public, a group, owners of property or the architect/developer is allowed to nominate works for consideration by the society.
